BUCKS COUNTY PLAYHOUSE CALL – Pencils Down: A New Musical [Workshop]

The Bucks County Playhouse (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) located in New Hope, PA will be holding local auditions for PENCILS DOWN: A NEW MUSICAL [WORKSHOP], by Simon Rich and Michael Mitnick, directed by Lonny Price, on Saturday, February 16th from 3pm-6pm at the Solebury School in New Hope, PA. No appointments necessary. The workshop will take place over one week in mid-August.

PENCILS DOWN is a musical for tweens about the awkward, humiliating cruelty/ beauty that is high school.

Seeking: 4 actors in their teens (or young adults who can believably portray teens) to play high school students and 2 adults to play high school teachers. Please see breakdown.

Please prepare 2-3 minutes of an up-tempo song that showcases your personality. Please bring a photo and resume, stapled back-to-back.

30s-50s, someone who’s been teaching far longer than he wishes, a sad humor to him

MS. BAXTER
30s-50s, hopeful, but frustrated, wants to do the right thing but often gives bad advice
